Mario is the main protagonist of the Mario series and Nintendo's primary mascot. Normally a plumber, in the game series, Mario uses his legendary jump and combat abilities to defend the peaceful inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom and the world from power-hungry villains such as Bowser. While not adventuring, Mario participates in a variety of sporting events and other fun activities with his brother Luigi and a whole cast of friends from his many adventures. He is voiced by Charles Martinet, who also voices Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi.

Mario has currently appeared in many game fandoms, as a star in Super Mario: The Mystery of HeartGold and SoulSilver.

Early RivalryEdit

Mario has been a awhile since he is mentioned and made cameos in TV, ads, commercials, other games, and even other fandoms. Howvever, in TheShinyMew comics, Mario's Secret, there is a sign outside Mubitropolis that reads "No plumbers playing DragonBall Z games allowed!".

In a video for the Game Maker Super Mario Bros. game, TheShinyMew (in the Pokémon form, as a Mew) criticizes the game by saying "Why can't he be more like that blue hedgehog Sonic?" while an animated Mario is seen on the cover of the box mimicking her (probably hinting that Mario always had some resentment towards Sonic). Mario then blows her a raspberry and runs out of the box and into the TV screen which makes her angry, calling him a "You brat!".

However, in Pokémon Purple, there is a sign (right next to Metreon Cave) says that Mario went to Hoenn to meet Shadow Lugia. This mentions Mario somehow...

At NetfreeEdit

The ShinyMew's Super Smash Bros. Battle comics are the first unofficial comic. In this comic, Mario comes as a Netfree Power Fighter along with Sonic. His emblem is the red trademark "M" that he has worn on his hat for so many years.

Netfree TopdownEdit

Mario, along with Sonic, seem to have a competitive relationship. In TheShinyMew comic #4, Sonic appears to be Mario's friend instead of a complete rival. Otherwise, both Mario and Sonic became Netfree Power Fighters, with both of them as leaders.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl comicEdit

Making his appearance in the Smash Bros. comic, Mario is the lead character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl comic, which is published by an unknown user. He is shown with a middle weight and very well balanced having a good compromise between speed, agility and strength.
